The loss just never ends...
Last Sunday I took my brother to the ER. He's still in the hospital, and isn't doing well at all.
Spoke to the doctor last night, and they cancelled the surgical procedure to cath his heart because he's not stable enough for it.
I so do not want to lose him too. The loss I've already sufferred this year is devastating, and I don't know how I will ever recover from it, but he is one of my favorite people in the whole world, and I don't want to lose him.
Living with a teenager is not totally like living with a room mate. The majority of the time they ignore you, and the rest of the time they are ignorant. I do have to say, though, that she is the light of my life.
But the family I was born into, as well as the family that I gave birth to, is nearly gone now. My mother has lost her mind and needs to stay in the nursing home, my older brother is sponging from someone else, and then there is my younger brother - who may be dying as we speak.
My older daughter is wrapped up in her own world and has nothing for me. My younger daughter is also wrapped up in her own world, making the same stupid mistakes which brought her to where she is now, and I cannot be part of either world.
I feel as though none of these people were satisfied that I did enough for them - although I have supported them, fed them, clothed them, and worked for them. I've been spread too thin for almost my entire adult life and just want these people to take care of themselves for a change.
But to them, it is never enough. I have not done enough...
Enough!
