The loneliness keeps creeping in

Its never easy being married to a man whose job takes him away from home for long periods of time and while I know that military families usually end up spending way more time away from their loved ones than I do it's still hard when he has to go.  It seems like we are just getting things finished up and taking care of house stuff when he has to leave and there is really no time for us.  We planned our trip to out of town for two reasons one was to go to the wls seminar and the other was so that we could spend some time with each other.  We planned on leaving tomorrow around noon or one, getting to the hotel and checking in, relaxing a bit before the seminar at six, going back to the hotel, taking a dip in the pool or just spending time with each other, waking up a little late, goofing off around town a bit, then heading back home. As long as we were back by four to pick up our son off the bus it was not a problem.  Well plans have changed.  We at least get to go to the seminar but it looks like we are going to have to come back early cause he has to leave as soon as possible on wednesday.  I really hate his job sometimes but it has to be because that is how he makes his living.  Someday maybe I will win big in the lottery and he won't have to and then I will be complaining that he is always around.  Of course I would have to play the lottery in order to hit it big so someday is farther off than people realize.  Maybe when I have the surgery and lose weight I will be able to go back to work and he will be able to find something around here that brings him home at night and gives him days off.
