The Little Things That Trigger Memories...
A DS member sent me a hug tonight, reminding me that it's been 17 years since my cousin died of liver cancer. Jesus, that's a long time...and long ago, I made the promise to think of him every day, and yet I find that it's hard to remember to do something every day. The member who hugged me said that Andrew would be proud of me for creating this site...I'll be honest...normally, I just think that's alota nice words that don't mean much...but tonight, in a rare display of emotional depth, I sorta believed it. And it felt good. Ran 5 miles today. I'd say that felt good, but I expect my legs will disagree tomorrow.

Doug ~ Every minute of every day this site is here to help others deal with their pain, their struggles, and their individual journeys to success and contentment. Believe that qualifies in thinking of Andrew every day. May your heart warm with the special memories of Andrew, the manner in which you honor him ... and the way you continue to touch the lives of your DailyStrength members.
Been thinking all day about how to respond to your comments about Andrew. The depth of your feeling and your remembering him as often as you do is a real statement of how caring and loving you are. Actually, the fact that you founded DS is a true reflection of you and your support of other human beings.
You better believe it Doug! Do you have any idea how many lifes you have touched? That honestly truthfully is God\'s work my man! I know he\'s got a special seat saved just for you! You should be very proud of the success of your dreams and the fruits of your labor!
You should feel good about this site you put so much effort in. I know I am thankful from my heart you have. Wheter I am just reading or participating I can\'t count lonely times with my lap top feeling sick and comming on here and knowing I am not alone. The knowledge that has helped me understand my condition has made me so much stronger. This site has offered more than my doctor in may areas. You have been a blessing for me. Thanks Doug.
