The Little Dollar Signs Are Running Away From Me
As if I weren't in over my head as far as the whole TTC stress goes, now I can heap bills, bills, bills on top of all that! I read around on here and try and pick up money saving tips and just fail miserably and I've had to accept the fact that I am simply bringing in too little for what I have to pay out. Hubby is applying for second jobs, we've taken in his brother as a boarder, I sell my crochet when I can but it's just not enough. We've called to get services cheapened and we have cut out everything we can but it just seems we can't get a leg up on anything lately.
I'm really sad that my crochet orders have slowed down. For the past year I've been averaging somewhere close to $100 extra a month by crocheting my little butt off but now people are just like meh. I know it'll pick up again around Christmas but I'm needing the extra income now. I'm planning on just using the down time I have to make some extra pre-made stock for gifts and maybe a Facebook Christmas shop again. Last year didn't hit it off too well but I didn't have too much made already.
Hubby is also looking into getting a seasonal position at one of the Halloween stores in the area. I've been looking for more work but since I have the Credit Union schedule no where is really open to having a part timer they have to work around a 9-6 schedule 5 days a week. Babysitting would be an option if I knew anyone with the money to spare with children... plus Tobi would be a problem there. He's too hyper for little kids and it's too hot to be outside.
Then there is the fact that my ac at the house is out for the SECOND time this month. The landlords managing our property say they have to get in touch with the homeowner before they can replace the unit but .... it's JULY IN SOUTH TEXAS! It is friggin' hot! We're going on day 4 of running fans to keep the house from being over 90 inside. Talk about a major hit on my electric bills T_T
I keep repeating to myself: it's going to be okay, we're gonna come up with the money somehow, things can only go down so far before they have no choice but to come up again.... all of that fun stuff. Why does it have to be so hard to be optimistic when you're wilting?

UUGGH I can\'t believe you are without A/C. That is horrible. Good luck with the landlord. And I can totally relate to the money issues - it adds up fast. Keep plugging away at it, somehow we figure out how to get it done.
