The Leadership Role of Every CEO

"Are you the sort of leader the ideal kind of people may like to work with?"
The task of a CEO begins with a leadership function. An effective organization is one with the right people all occupying the ideal positions jointly engaged in doing the right things. That's;

'right PEOPLE + right POSITIONS + right ACTIONS = EFFECTIVE ORGANIZATION'
Making the above equation a reality in a business is your primarytask of the CEO as a leader. It's a three-fold task that begins with you the leader. The above equation is'what' you want to perform as a pioneer, as you have to have probably noticed, the underlying theme from the equation is that the word"right." Which obviously captures the entire essence of the role of the CEO as a pioneer -making a company effective. I wish these were all you needed in order to be successful in your job as a pioneer, but there's still one missing component in the equation that's critically important. Hiro Watanabe missing part is YOU - the leader!

Here is what I mean.
Building a successful business takes the collective efforts of others and not simply the effort of only you the owner. It is not a one man show. You see, although no 1 individual (leader) can single-handedly build a great business; one wrong individual (leader) can only bring down a company. How? When you as the company owner starts to think it's all about you. This is ordinarily the case with most small business owners. I understand you are the owner of your company no doubt, but in addition, you will need to understand this fact; before you opted to be a business owner, success was very much about you and also the result of your personal efforts, but now that you are running your own business; achievement is all about others and the consequence of the collective efforts.
The vast majority of companies fail largely due to this singular factor, therefore it is highly important to understand that this crucial stage and start to create the necessary paradigm shift early. The failure or success of a company depends largely on how well the CEO plays their role as a leader. Since the CEO, your role as a pioneer demands that you change your attention from yourself and start to concentrate more on other people and what you collectively want to achieve. Management guru Jim Colins in his legendary book"good to excellent" talks about the kind of leadership necessary to choose an organization from being a great one for being a good one;'level 5 leadership'.Here is what he identified as the crucial trait of a'level 5 leader';"ambition first and foremost to the company and concern for its success rather than for one's personal riches and personal renown."
Company is a team game and only the teams with the top players can acquire. To create a winning team takes a leader that not only wins but also knows how to lead a bunch of winners and make winners from losers. Winners being who they are don't naturally like to hang around losers even though that loser bears the title of a CEO. That you now occupy a leadership position as a result of your CEO name doesn't necessarily mean you are a leader. Being a leader is much more than inhabiting a position. As I pointed out last week at the very first article in this series, titles or positions will not make you; functions and duties do. As a CEO on your job as a leader, the majority of your work is mainly people-centered. Your functions and duties (duties ) majorly revolve around working with people and directing them. When it comes to individuals, understanding'what' to do alone will not do the trick. Individuals are not things, they do not care how much you know and can do till they understand just how much you really care and make them feel. Therefore, knowing'what' to perform would be only one portion of the story, knowing'who' to become to be able to do what has to be achieved is the principal narrative.
The real challenge here is collecting the right kind of people to work with as a staff, for just the right kind of people can be genuinely effective -effective at doing the ideal things. You see the proper people are extremely rare to discover or attract because they just submit to the right kind of leadership. They are not predominantly motivated by just how much they are paid; they are primarily motivated by passion and will just follow the right leader whose vision, goal or objective they believe worthy of the commitment and loyalty. You can't out rightly purchase them you get their commitment and loyalty. Figuring how to be the right type of leader is your main responsibility as a CEO. So here's the question;
