The Latest & More

Well, it turns out that the dog is going with us and that we are staying with the cousin (at least to start out). How it'll go, with her having 2 dogs & a cat, I don't know. But that's between DH & his cousin.
Had a stupid & ironic incident with DH the other day. I was listening to the "Daily Audio Bible" podcast one morning (like I usually do) as I was getting ready for work. One of the readings was a Proverb about the tongue (how it has the power to speak life or death) & the podcast host did a little talk about the Proverb.
DH was in the room with me & he asks "What is this??" And I told him (though he knows I listen to this all the time). And he says, "Weird..." To which I retort, "Yeah, everything I do is 'weird'".
Don't know if he heard me say that (he said "what?" & I said "nothing"). But this is another example of his putting down what I do/like for who knows what reason. And the irony is: he was doing exactly what the host was saying we should guard against.
I mean, I don't like everything DH listens to or watches, but I know he likes it & it doesn't hurt anyone, so I just let it be. I'm pretty much like that with everyone. Is there a reason why he doesn't extend the same courtesy to me? And he wonders why I'm "not the same" in being affectionate toward him like I "used to be". Hello! Your put-downs don't exactly give me that warm fuzzy feeling!
