the inner turmoil continues ...

I am a teacher and typically takes the summer off.  This year, for the first time in 10 years, our family is not going to our summer house but instead staying in NYC.  ONe thing that means is that I will be at home sharing the house with my husband and kids for many days in a row without the distraction or distance of work.  ONe would think that would be nice, but not for me ... I'm thinking hard about leaving my husband of 25 years.  I would love to get on with it, but I'm scared about disrupting the entire family, especially my 18 y.o. duaghter.  She will be home for the first time in 18 months having just completed high school at a boarding school.  She had a very rough HS experience and finally put it together over these last 18 months with a lot of outside help.  I really don't want to send her back to despair and torment. Given that, I feel compelled to work through this slowly and deliberately, but it's awfully hard when I find myself confronted hourly by the behaviors and issues I have finally made up my mind to get away from! I wish I could move faster! And I wish I had someone to talk with about this on a daily basis.  I am beginning therapy, but even that is starting slowly.  I'll be away next week and then again three weeks from now.  I want someone to feel my hurt and support me!
