The importance of rest in my life

I feel like I have finally let myself be happy. I am always in a good mood, I see the good side of everything, I like how I interact with people, I feel like my happiness is infectuous.
Today was another good day. A very cool thing happened. I brought an old guitar from the closet to see if it was worth fixing. Steve, at International Vintage Guitars in New Orleans told me that guitar is worth thousands of dollars "as is"!!! I can't believe it. I bought it for $200 when I was a kid, my first guitar.
I worked all weekend with my brothers redoing my moms gardens. I had so many things planned, but when they asked me, I wanted to do it, both for my mom and to spend time with family. I have a belief that I won't live to a ripe age and want to cherish the time I have.
Anyway, after working hard all weekend and hard today I am worn out. And I find that being this tired makes me dwell on the one thing I don't have ... love. I usually fell that I am a good guy, with values, aspirations, a caring nature and good looking enough, even maybe minimally good looking. But that is enough with all the others qualities in my life.
But being tired equals being lonely. So all I am really saying in this journal is I need some rest.
:)

That is so great you got to spend some time with family this weekend... i bet your mother really appriciated your help. I really dont have much family left besides my kids... just my dad and one aunt. I think it would be fun to have family back. I try to make my kids understand how important it is that they stay in contact with each other as they all become adults ... family is so important.

Wow i have an old guitar too... it had been my grandpas.... never knew a guitar could be worth so much. Thats cool.
I totally understand being lonely... i live with a whole house full of people all the kids and a husband that the marriage has been failed for way over 10 yrs ... people say how could you be lonely... well when you dont feel anyone in your life listens , husband that dont care, and puts you down for everything you do... well you dont feel much love and soon you shut down and lonely is a huge factor in it all. I know people can be happy even alone... my aunt is generally a happy person and she lives alone... but there is so much to be said for a good healthy relationship that two people share thier lives together and support one another... i hope you find that kind of relationship :) Hugggzzz hope you can get rested up after busy weeked

that is cool you decided to spend time w your Mom and brothers, in the long run you will be rewarded..more so than your wonderful day with them, but being smart enough to not pass up the great opportunity. When my Mom passed 6 yrs ago, I beat myself up alot for not being there for her when I should have, I sucked at being not only a good daughter but her only child. Now I wish and pray I had done things differently. You proved you wont have to feel that way. Way to go! And cool on the guitar too..neat story!! God Bless.
