The "Immediate" Balanced Scorecard
In the real history of Balanced Scorecard implementations and organizational change generally speaking, stories of tasks falling by the wayside are numerous. Also companies that have had good achievement and shown development benefits have dropped from the method, possibly as a result of modify in control or from the effort growing stale.
In case of The Jel Sert Company, a mid-size food maker located in West Chicago, Illinois, the challenge never quite obtained the traction it needed to keep itself, and the leadership group created the conscious choice to get rid of it.
In 2003, I was concluding up the MBA plan at DePaul balanced scorecard with the Modify Administration program, and met with the CEO of Jel Sert (where I was an employee) to see if he had any topics I really could study for the class class project. He asked me to look into the reason the organization fought to collect a few ideas from the workforce.
