The House is Clean

Dearest, I even washed the curtains in the laundry room. They don't look as neat as when you hang them but they're clean. Most of the yard work is done too! I just have the corner where the morning glories grew and the strip where your black-eyed susans grow left to clean up. Oh, and the tomato plants to chop down and clean up. I think I ruined the kitchen table, I had some tomatoes sitting there ripening and one went bad and stained the wood. I mean it's down in the wood. I'll leave it for a couple of days and then try the bleach trick on it, otherwise I'll have to sand it down and re-linseed oil it next spring. I decided on my winter project. I'm going to finish the kitchen ceiling and repaint the kitchen. Remember I was working on that before my stroke? I have a four day weekend coming up and I have a lot of things to take care of that I took out of storage. The memorial stone is underway. Bruce says he can get it done and in place by the end of the year. Oh, Bruce from Valentine memorials, forgot, you don't know him. Whew, I've been busy! Got the free turkey coupon from the grocery, made me laugh, I'm not going to cook a turkey just for me. Was going like gangbusters today when they played "Smile" on the radio, I remember singing that to you, took a break to cry. Thought about putting the Nat King Cole record on but then I realized that would be the end of work for the day.
Can you take one of these damn cats to stay with you? They absolutely refuse to keep their fur on their bodies, their claws on their feet and the litter in the box. Also I do not need every area rug and every piece of cloth in this house rearranged every night.
Talk to you soon, Love, Your KenĀ
Smile though your heart is aching Smile even though it's breaking When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by If you smile through your fear and sorrow Smile and maybe tomorrow You'll see the sun come shining through for you
