The holidays

We had a wonderful time with our son this holiday season! He was home for Christmas for a few days and has been staying in the area at one of the centers he now works for. So we have gotten to see him more than we expected, which is really good. He is based in Las Vegas  helping to start an outreach program there, he loves it! We are so happy for him. 
I will say that one of his days at home he battled a day of depression. The good news is he acknowledges the issue and said he continues to talk to his support group about it. He has learned that it is quite common with addicts and recovering addicts. He is not willing to take drugs for it as he never wants to feel  that need of addiction for anything ever again. He has come a very long way! He does not cease to amaze us in such little ways that most people wouldn't even notice. But we do. We are so grateful.
