The Green Eyed Monster

I want to deny it so badly that I had to resist the urge to run inside and change my shirt to something not green. Not even I am uncivilized enough to want to knock a beloved son unconscious so that I can jump in his truck and take his place. You stay here and deal with all the trashy odds and ends you just dumped in my yard! Take the house, the husband and impending wedding with it! I'll take that forestry job in Northern California! My tramp kit is already packed, as always.
Sigh.
I sucked it up and put on my Mrs B. Have face.
Yes son. I am crying because I will miss you terribly.
Sigh, sigh, tri-sigh and sigh again.

Oooooh, have I ever been there. When I was living in a small 2-bedroom apartment in 1996, my sister bought a property in a development that was just going up. She got to pick the color, all the little decisions about countertop, flooring, tile, where she wants outlets, etc. When she moved in, it was so beautiful (even made ammends with my father (the abuser) in time for him to fully furnish the downstairs with new awesome furniture.. The grass around their home was all green and beautifully landscaped. Boy, was I jealous. It made me never want to have her over at the apartment and, even later, when my ex and I bought a ranch style house, so much smaller than my sister\'s. She is married to a complete a**h*** though and she is a mega-bi***., so I wouldn\'t trade places with her for the world. I have a man that loves me with all his heart and I would never give that up. Some blessings, you have to think about because sometimes they get covered up by big things, like houses and cars. Hope you can find your blessings within your own life and just be grateful! ((HUGS))

Mine is more yard than house. Definitely not big enough to accommodate a film crew, even for coffee.

It is still more than I want. The big THING that blinds me is the big, bad world. Lord guide me through the high dollar salon joys of wedding planning. I surely don\'t have the training for it. Forestry I can handle. Blue-haired politics? Gonna need lots of guidance, Lord.
