The Good Stuff...

You all have helped me to see the positives I have to offer and to hang in there and not just jump on the first smooth talker's wagon. Like all my other lessons, I would have to experiment to learn.

I tried a dating site where I could also finally get to know someone locally. After 1 bad apple, I sort of retreated back into old patterns... flipping through a few I would have liked to take a chance and get to know, I steered clear of most. Did chat with a few....2 who were actually a bit scary when I think about it. But part of it may be my fault as I made the mistake of being open and honest... no filter, no TMI.  Sadly, the free world is not so good with that. That does seem to attract some very wild and kinky perves.  There is another who I am still chatting with and we did still want to meet up and maybe have a picnic outside for now. But we have chatted for over a month and there is little more than a good morning and night and how is your day. It is obvious he is  not as I would like, someone who is curious and eager to get to know  all about each other. Then 1 of the 2 scary ones is giving it a second try.  I have finally realized it is not my job to politely say thank you but no.  I am taking another approach... just ignoring him this time around as I don't prefer to waste time being polite with one who will waste my time or worse (try to manipulate me)

In this same time frame-- I did continue to chat with others from DS.  Some of us just check in on each other, others would share and connect much deeper.  I would find a man who did catch my attention. We would open up and share about each other (both of us with that curiosity and unending thirst to know more. ) He is several states away and in our endless texts and calls I did mention how pretty it must be there. I happen to mention I have never been there, it must be beautiful. He proceeds to send me pix from nearby and fill me in on some of the area. (I am feeling like I am there alreadywith my own personal tourguide) He asks if I would ever consider coming to visit?  I respond Of course. I hear excitement in his voice and he immediately starts to think how to make it happen. He is offering to help me with his points from miles as well as book and plan the flight.

This is what I have been wishing and hoping for... someone special with alot to offer and is willing to share and discover more himself.I cannot begin to describe the excitement and anticipation , knowing full well the other wants this as well. There is something about being desired that does bring us back to life.  I do wish more would take the risk we did.

Just so you know, I am feeling like a giddy schoolgirl. He is the first thought when I am up, last at nght.  These days, I have joy and anticipation to look forward to each day as I count down. 34 days til I do finally take a risk and do things I never dared try... see a bit more of our country... and trust what feels right. If nothing else... we have both begun a special friendship and he will get to be tour guide and show me his corner of the world. Colorado here I come!   :)
