The game and what it does
I'm tired of the game that my life has become. I am afraid to drive because of how the lyme has affected my responses, and because of some cognitive impairment. I've been sick constantly for 13 plus years now. May will be the 10th anniversery of treatment. I've been on most every antibiotic for lyme. I've given myself well over 40 biccillin shots, I've had 3 PICC lines. When does the game ever end? I live with my parents, I have for years. I often feel to miserable to go out beyond the yard. I used to play computer games a lot, but lately they frustrate me, like they were hiding the symptom but never treating it. I take darvon and ibuprofen 2x daily, I take soma as needed. I have vicoprofen for migraines. I wake up several times every night in pain and have to move around just to get the pain to shift so I can lay back down and try to sleep some more. I'm tired of being stuck in this 10x10 prison cell called a room. I want to have a decent life. All of my friends are married, and most of them have kids. I can't even find a girl in my area to go on a date, between not driving, being on disability, and getting 6,000 a year in SSI most women turn their nose and walk away. I need to have my knees checked out again, I need to have more dental work done, and I need a bunch of other crap done. The problem is I feel too crappy to go anyplace. I feel like a lead weight around people I'm friends with, never have anything going on and always dragging. When does it ever end?

:( Just remember: It hasn\'t ALWAYS been like this, and it doesn\'t have to be this way forever. It\'s harder for people in your position, not impossible. Just because you\'re feeling crappy and alone and trapped today doesn\'t mean you will be in the same position forever. I\'m sorry you\'re having such a hard time, but don\'t give up hope!
Boy I know how you feel. I am married and have a teen daughter but since losing my job to this 3 years ago(had it all my life) I know how lonely these walls can be too. The depression from it all is enough to want to just be gone all the time. We are apparently strong to have made it where we have. I too have been on treatment for about 10 years and not alot of luck. I too get migraines and cannot sleep. I feel your pain. If you ever need to talk I am here :) Sherry
