The Football Game

Hi all, an update.  We went to the game in Gadsden, Al for my grandson...They WOW!!! that was great.  It was a good trip.  We got to see Ken's wife, her mom and did, my grandson and his girlfriend.
It was a fast trip as we have to be in Indianapolis, In Monday for a friends surgery. So we got there around 3:00 p.m. and met up with the family around 6:30.
The games lasted until around 10:30 p.m. and they had to get back home, so we didn't get to have dinner or anything, but got to talk at the game.  Not only had my grandson lost his dad on the team but another boy also lost his dad about 3 weeks after we lost Ken.  So it was a sad time yet a good time.  Ken's wife asked my husband if he would come and go to a football camp with our grandson, of course he said yes.
So all and all things went good.  Ken's wife is hanging in there doing really great work for God, I know it has  it is really hard on her and the kids.  We hope to spend a lot of time down there this summer helping.
My granddaughter was working and could not make it.  She is due any day now so we will be going back as soon as  the baby is born.
When you get a chance if you can say a prayer for the family, it is really a difficult time for all of them, and me, all grieving in different ways.
I am so glad we went and glad everything went well.
Thank you all my friends for your great comments.
