The Final Goodbye

Whew, yesterday was one very emotional day!  From my previous post, you can probably tell how frustrated I was about the way our FD's transition fell apart.  Then, about two hours later, I get a call from her agency SW saying they found a family!  And what a family!  I don't think I could have handpicked a better family for her:
-Preschool teacher mom
-Stay-at-home dad
-Experienced fost-adopt parents
-3 teenagers, but no little kids in the house
-Moved only 30 minutes away
-Live in the country
-Same foster agency (means same SW, same BP visit location, same behavioral counselor, and we can even do visits if it's okay with the new family!).
-Planning to enroll her in the same type of preschool that she attended here
They were even open to a same-day move.  It almost seems too good to be true, but I'll try not to over think that.
When I get a chance to rest and regroup, I'll continue the promise I made to outline what we did to ease our FD into her transition, but now, I need to rest.  And clean.  But mostly, rest.
