The Flu

Our youngest grandson, 8 yrs, has been sick since the weekend. Monday the doctor said it was viral pneumonia and started him on meds. Our DIL has a terrible sinus infection. So they have been down all week. She is a little better but Josh has not responded well. High fever, headaches and the whole nine yards of symptoms. Back to the doctor did more tests and found that he has the flu. Not the H1N1 but still bad. Now more meds to treat that diagnosis. They are walking around with the lysol bottle in both hands. Trying to disinfect everything continuously.  We cannot go and help because we just do not need to get the flu. My hubby and I are only children and we have a friend that we have known for 52 years and we both think of as a sister. She has had numerous medical problems and has not responded well to being ill. I have talked to her several time in the last few weeks and have been very concerned about her.  Her husband called last night and she decided not to fight any longer. She tried to end her life.  She was in the ER when he called and he was not sure what was going to happen. We have not heard from them today. I would appreciate prayers for grandson, Josh and our friend, Dot. Thank you in advance because I know that friends on DS are always standing by and ready to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on. Blessings to you all. xoxo pat

Thinking of how sweet you are to always think of me Pat x x I will be thinking of your grandson and your friend. Josh will be okay he has youth on his side, if l were his mom l would be giving him lots of vitamin C, garlic and horseradish to boost his immune system, then when he has recovered l would strt him on a course of friendly bacteria (acidipholous yep spelt that one badly)

Your friend, thats very sad, their are always reasons to live, even if life is really tough, it is much tougher for the people left behind, when people take their lives. I do hope she gets through her depression. Its like the song \"Everyone hurts sometimes\"
When the day is long,
And the night, the night is yours alone,
When you\'re sure you\'ve had enough, of this life,
Well hang on.
Don\'t let yourself go,
\'Cause everybody cries and everybody hurts, sometimes.

Sometimes everything is wrong.
Now it\'s time to sing along.
When your day is night alone,

If you feel like letting go

When you think you\'ve had too much of this life,
Well hang on.

\'Cause everybody hurts.
Take comfort in your friends.
Everybody hurts. Don\'t throw your hand.
Oh, no. Don\'t throw your hand.
If you feel like you\'re alone,
No, no, no, you are not alone

If you\'re on your own, in this life,
The days and nights are long,
When you think you\'ve had too much,
Of this life, hang on.

Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
Everybody cries.
And everybody hurts sometimes.
And everybody hurts sometimes.
So, hold on, hold on.
Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on. Hold on, hold on.
