The explosion.

My world, and the world I have tried to build for my children has exploded, crumbled and drifted away like dust on a gentle breeze.  My oldest daughter told me outright last night, that she was not going to do anything around the house and that her mom called the police department and they said I couldn't evict her for thirty days, and that until then she was staying here and doing whatever she wants.      I explained to her that she wasn't going to sit around and "Mooch" off of me for an entire month, and give me grief all the while.  She began to yell, telling me that I am a horrible father that has always played mind games with her and that I was the one who should be doing all the house work.  I told her I couldn't take it anymore and that I was reaching my boiling point.  She kept up following me around and saying the same stuff over and over. That is when I called the police.      I dialed 911 and told them I had a unruly 20 year old child in my home that I needed removed.  My daughter got on her cell phone (Purchased by me of course) and called her mother.  Mother and Police arrived at the same time and mother decided to take her to her place, telling the police she would be back in the morning to collect my daughters stuff. The police told us it would be best for all parties to have an officer stand by while the stuff was being moved. I agreed. I then showed an officer the agreement I asked my daughter to sign that stated the chores she was expected to do, or in lieu of that, the rent she would have to pay on a monthly basis for room and board.  The officer agreed that it seemed very fair.      I had a sleepless night, though part of that was due to my younger daughter having food poisoning from a local chinees buffet.  We both got to sleep around 4:30am.      The call from my ex-wife came around 10:15am.  I knew it would, and she stated that her and my daughter talked about the situation and felt my request was not unfair and, if she was able to return home, my daughter would comply with the agreement.  I spoke to my daughter on the phone and she concured with what her mother said.  I agreed with letting her return as long as the screaming stopped and that the agreement was fulfilled.      I cannot even begin to describe what a nightmare this has been for me.  The tough love thing is very hard, but I have decided to hold strong and to take back control of my home.      I somehow feel that things will never be the same. Joshuattee
