the end is near....?
Woke at 2 to my poor cat throwing up yet again.....a lot worse: he urinated outside litter box minutes later, which is always a bad sign for anybody's cat. Yesterday, he hacked a bit, and seemed a bit senile; he is 19 years old.
2:30 in morning to write this, wide awake out of a pretty good sleep, though simultaneously woke from a dream in which I, finally, smacked around an alledged scumbag friend and threw him out my house!
Craziness of 1982?, after my worthless dad killed himself, me living at home, brainless, so I signed over the about $3,000 of my inheritance to my evil mom----with months later she loaning it to my alledged scumbag friend. I didn't even know this at the time And nobody probably knew that my sadistic mom, from when I was a little kid, would give my stuff away, so the loan wasn't some widow being taken advantage of; was sadistic on her part. Of course, once my alledged scumbag friend and his wife got the $, they had nothing to do with my evil mom; she sued, with everybody having me as scapegoat----with me in dark about everything, as usual.
And now, I have to deal with my poor cat, all alone, with no money. At least I threw away all the last of my parents' photos a couple years ago; have some 1936! mail order school correspondence from an uncle who drunkenly got killed 8 years before I was born; I threw away another one of those papers minutes ago; the only way crazy-me can deal with this stuff. Not as though anybody to show such papers to, and I was never a part of my parents' family; my 19 year old cat is "family."

7 oclock update: At 4 in morning my cat used litter box ok, and ate, so maybe the %^# is scaring me, with a cold.

I know the end is near; but it still doesn\'t mean we stop persevering and keep hoping that the suffering will end naturally, even though it will hurt like hell to let him go.

I really should be glad for the 19 years; have to start getting that into my thick skull.
Hope your cat recovers. But if not, get another one. Who can live without a cat?

I do have another cat, which i only got to keep this one company, and which i treat as though i\'m an evil stepmother....so, he\'ll get treated a lot better when worst happens.
1 pm update:
all that vomiting is common for cats with thyroid troubles---so in a few minutes to call vet for check-up.
though on one site, cat can get worse with meds! Just cant win.
