The Dumb Broad 2
The strictly personal psychosis which I have dubbed, "The Dumb Broad" is still buzzing and biting like a mosquito swarm this morning. My focus and self-confidence are tripping over every bump in the sidewalk. I am wishing for the magic just wand which will make it all just go away. Why can't I just be normal? It's okay to wish, but, working with what is currently available, I am treating it like a case of the emotional flu. Recovery takes what it takes. Saluting all Nag Flags, plying therapy tools and moving in itsy bitsy baby steps. Easy does it. Just breathe.
The good news is that the plastic goo that resulted from my heating an electric water kettle on an electric stove burner did come off of the stove element. The catch pan underneath is proving a bit tougher, but it looks like it will come off with patience. Sigh. Is it good news that a minor stove fire and the trashing of a kettle was my worst SNAFU yesterday? It is far from the most spectacular disaster sponsored by my Dumb Broad psychosis.
Hubs will be here in about 48 hours. Of course he has a loud voice in my Dumb Broad psychosis. The balancing act, both cultural and personal, between construction boss and wife/mother has figured mightily into this snotty knot. It is still not solid enough for easy definition, but I believe Hubs and I have come a long way on that dialogue. 37 year couples style, built on subtleties no outsider is likely to understand. It is not ready for publication, but I believe the change is ready for testing. We see what grows.

I've ruined many pots of something by forgetting (b/c my brain is busy hamster-spinning about TriggerTraumaTripe whateverness...). Honestly? Yeah, I totally get that a small kitchen fire is a good day. I've had ones where a flood of overboiling hot chocolate over stove and floor is basiclly standard for the day. Yep. It must be (whatever day). I'm so upset right now over some stuff that I was literally standing there with tears on my face, wondering why the hell I was in the bathroom, before I realized I had to pee. Yep. Stress-brain. Puma support:-)
Spend too much time alone, and you'll think of a million things wrong with yourself.
Spend some time with other people...and you might just not look so bad in comparison...just saying.
A flipping kettle...um, I once smashed my car mirror in the garage door twice...within a week. Yeah, that was a good week.
Oh and my ex? Michelle.
I could total a hundred cars and not come close.
hand up, in the Dumb Broad line if i qualify - i don't know. i don't even know what SNAFU santants for?
Hm-m-m-m. . . The Dumb Broad Club?
Stepford wives beware. . .
SNAFU stands for "Situation Normal. All Fucked Up."
great way for me to remember how to spell snafu. I have heard the word used and understood it meant problem/bug in the works of a computer so to say. I like your words for it so much, I do wish I knew what putting words to letters is called. does the thirst for knowledge I can never remember make any sense... FUB/Fucked Up Brain?
I learned it in the Army. The Signal Corps (my branch) took it a step further and assigned numeric routing codes for SNAFU and quite allot of similar GI-isms. FUBAR was one of them. Fucked Up Beyond All Repair. I never heard of FUB, but not even *I* have heard them all. I got bored with acronyms around the time that they became fashionable.
I just made up FUB tonight, I never have liked ACRONYMS besides being one of those words that the spelling don't make sense to me, my FUB could never come up with the same words other people come up with. and don't even get me started on all the acronyms for IRA & NRA
wow. i always thought fubar ended w/recognition. i am so horrible at them. smh??? i see these little groups of letters ere and there and just pfft? i have no clue. maybe dyslexia. lack of socialisation? is that same here? smh - could it be that they are just smushing words together kinda sorta - i want to tilt my question mark drunk sidewayxs sort of=-kant
i thin it is. pre smart phones txting. i don't want to know.
Acronyms have their strengths. Typing "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" a million times gets tedious for both the fingers on the keyboard and the eyes which read the message. PTSD really is simpler and time-saving for all.
In 1973, when I began my formal communications training, that was a highly specialized tool. If you weren't handling 100,000 messages a day, there was no point to the knowledge. Now that phones are smarter than your average human, it has tipped to the point of digitized idiocy. You ought to try handling acronyms in multiple languages. . . Are we speaking of DNA (Scientific Latin) or ADN (Spanish/Latino)? And there we get to the academic wonders of Latinos latinizing Latin. What's a word nerd to do in any language?
yeah, no - you're amazing in any language or the - how many? you speak, and then you can the - acromnyms in them too??!!
how do you fit me tino a stpeford brat???? can i semm like one somekinda how? is it me or meant for another? i was only stndnidng in the line mann. : ) humour insertion v here :D
i just am catching on to the capital D is cheesy big smile i do eyebrows this way ^^, but i don't know if anybody else does eyebrows or think they are of import...
i love eyebrows eyebrows ^^,,,, ^^ xo
I read and write ALL of my languages (including acronyms) better than I speak them. Far better. Stuttering does not affect writing or typing skills. Day-to-day, I can speak them with the over-compensating articulation which marks James Earl Jones as a reformed stutterer. Similarwise for understanding what is said to me. The written word never mumbles. "B" and "V" are far more distinct in type than analog.
Alas, my stuttering still reasserts itself, painfully, with the speed of a stress bomb. You should see how quick a grammar/accent nazi can get me stuttering in my secondary languages. And confidence that I heard you right in any language? ? ? Please don't make me go there. . . Shutting me up is not much of a challenge. I promise, you will win every oral debate, no matter the language of the debate. Let me know where to ship the trophy (C.O.D.) and what you want on the plaque. (10 word limit.)
