The drama continues
Well, 3 weeks of "Great" "Awesome" was a very good thing indeed. And this weekend started out a real winner. The weather was so dreary and rainy for so long and it was depressing. And cold. But yesterday was sunny and beautiful and somewhere close to 70. Took the dog for a small walk. Watched a couple of movies over the weekend while cooking and cleaning (Prince of Egypt, Monster In Law and one other I forgot.) Even got some motivation yesterday and cleaned all of the outside windows. (And that is a real job. Fell in love with this house because of huge windows.) I had bought this 20 ft extend a pole window cleaner with squeegee from Home Depot and this commercial concentrated window cleaner solution. There is NO way I could clean these windows any other way. Anyway, the day was going great. Made homemade meatballs and spaghetti for dinner. Oh yeah, the other movie was Two Bits and Pepper and David watched it with me while I cooked dinner. David hangs out with this friend of his, Nick. Nick is a bad influence. Not because he is a bad kid, but because he is allowed to do a lot of things David is not allowed to do. So David just DOES stuff without asking, like walking to the pizza place and crossing the major highway with Nick and telling me after the fact. Almost like bragging about it. He is going to do whatever he wants. So this weekend there were some issues with this. He broke his boombox, so he took mine without asking. He lost his Nintendo DS charger so he took mine without asking. He wanted to build a skateboard ramp and I told him to ask his father's permission to use the scrap wood. He and Nick built it anyway without asking. Stupid stuff. Anyway, long story short, David got in one of his "I want what I want" moods last night and we were telling him to go to bed and he flipped out and punched the refrigerator door. Then, he flips out screaming the "F" word and a whole bunch of other obscenities that he broke his "F ing" hand and demanded we take him to the hospital. I did slap him for the cursing. Anyway, Paul took him to the hospital this AM and yep, hairline fracture and in a cast for 4 weeks. Paul is at his "I have had it" point. David dropped his cell project in the car by accident on the way to school and it smashed. He put a lot of work into it. So that did not help either. It is due tomorrow. Hopefully they can glue it all back together tonight. And I am really off track with my diet and exercise. And TOM is hitting me any minute. I was so fatigued last week. So I will try to get back on track today. Work isn't bad. Things slowed down, finally! Thank God! And boss got me some help. So I was fairly productive last week and it felt good. Praying things stay this way for a little longer. Oh well. Guess we will have something to talk about at counseling tomorrow. Paul says "I can't have a job because I have to spend too much time dealing with David and taking him to Drs all the time." So it is a little frustrating here. Paul is still trying to get the appointment with a psychologist. Now he says "I won't be happy until I am dead." At least I have the dog. She was out in the yard with Paul all afternoon yesterday hanging out with him while he planted flowers. It was SO cute. She is keeping me company today while I work.

Hey Sweetie, your the best friend anyone could have. You are so strong and so positive and that\'s what keeps you going no matter what gets in your way. I am sorry that your days have not been the best and with all the worries with David and Paul. It\'s hard to stay positive when so much negative is in the way. I don\'t know how you do it but you seems to keep it all together. I\'m trying very hard this time to make it work, sometimes I wonder if I even try at all ya know - need to try harder to focus instead of my mind taking over, hee hee. Thanks so much for your support. The house stuff is moving along. We went to move because it\'s an older house and things keep popping up unexpected with this older house. We would like a bigger house too but either way it\'s getting there and we still have lots to do. I did get my list finished and whatever I didn\'t have prices for I guessed and will leave up to the insurance to decide. Most of the stuff was given to us, etc. So it\'s hard to put a value on stuff. Did you get to go to your game? Always thinking of you and thanks a gain, Hugs to Kona too :-) our animals are getting big. Diesel at the vet last weekend was 126 lbs at 9 months - OMG right? Love Ya! Kat
Hey girl! Paul and David, both, need a swift kick in the rumpass! haha Seriously tho, DAvid needs to quit feeling sorry for himself and step up! You are doing all the work for goodness sake! he does more complaining than helping. Im sorry but that is the way I see it... Give yourself a HUGE HUG cuz you are the one thing/person keeping this family together! You are the backbone and super strenght here! They have no idea what and how much you have done for them and how they wouldn\'t be able to be where they are w/out you! Hang in there hon...it takes a lot out of you I know....but if anyone can do it, its you!!! ;-)
Have you thought about limiting David\'s contact with Nick. My son had a undesireable friend and I finally laid down the law that he could not have him in our house unless I was home...Not even if Hubby was because he was useless as a house guard and he was not allowed at his friends house. I did not want to completely eliminate the friendship - I just wanted to supervise it.
Collect some of those doggie kisses for me! I really do miss them!
David came home from school. Got a huge apology and lots of hugs. He cleaned his room and took the dog out. We are going to go and take a nice walk now before it gets dark.
Oh yes, LOVE those doggie kisses!
Wow, nuts I say. At least it\'s not outbursts everyday and the meds still seem to be working. I guess those bad days make you really appreciate the good and peace you\'ve had for three wonderful weeks. *sigh*. I will continue to pray for you and your sanity and weight loss program sweetie. As always, call me anytime you need to lose it. I\'m off this week and usually don\'t take calls after 9 pm Central time. We are in bed winding down from the day by then. Hugs to you sweetie. I\'ll send you a PM soon. =)
I\'m sorry to hear about your son\'s friend. David doesn\'t need any negative influences in his life, especially since it\'s causing him to break your rules and be combative, etc. Wow...through it all, you still seem like Wonder Woman to me. Hang in there!
I agree with JM about limiting contact and it being supervised by the responsible parent (usually the mom, sorry to say). Glad there was an apology and hugs and YAY for pets!
