The Downside of Support Sites

For the most part Online Support Boards are a good thing.  They help the homebound have a connection to the outside world.  They help those who prefer not to be out in the world to make friends and have people to talk to.  They help people research their illnesses whether they be medical or mental by talking to those who have the same afflictions, take and try the same medication, see and try the same or different types of Dr.'s, and these are all good things.
But there always has to be that 1 person...who doesn't quite get that being an adult is quite different than being in Jr. High or High School.  They constantly bug you about ridiculous things that make no sense.  They try to speak and show intelligence above their level of, which just makes them look ridiculous. Regardless of how many ways or methods you use to try and get it across to them in private that they need to find someone else to irritate and stop wasting time bothering you, they just don't get the message.  It can get very frustrating, tiresome and just plain irritating when they don't go away and keep using their juvenile attention seeking behavior to bother you....or as with most people of intelligence you just simply ignore them and their ridiculous idiocy and go about your day.
Too bad there's not a selection process to rid these irritants from the Boards before they ever start to harass and bother people who really want to be here to share and help others.    But venting always feels good and clears the mind.

I think I know who you are talking about...I think when a person is deprived of their physical capacity and dignity to such degree that they can\'t do anything anymore, they have to find some way to feel like they matter.. It is a subconscious thing.. We all want to matter..
I know that this is no excuse for aggravating you... You are a good person and deserve only the best.

Aronia, you are an amazing friend as always. I get that people need to vent and its not always nice, but when you reach out to someone to explain or de-flate the situation, and they still act like a jerk, especially when you didn\'t do anything in the first thing... its irksome. Some people just think they have an all out pass to not be nice, and that\'s just wrong. Oh well, life goes on!
