The Dormant Season
Even among local native gardeners it is hard to find support for my notion that summer is the desert's natural dormant season. My most sincere truth is that my gardening is a feel good activity. I simply cannot find the feel good in playing beneath a cruel sun in triple digit heat. I am already feeling better with a shade tree and a swimming hole. You can go with whatever blows your hair back.
As I start battoning down the mulches to let the soils sleep away the summer heat my attention is turning toward settling my studios. Of course the graphics studios. Those are a given. I still think in pictures and senses, then translate the pictures to words for communication's sake. The space is pretty much carved into the new living space but I have been so busy establishing the gardens to get to the fine tunings and flourishes. Nothin' to it but to do it.
The music studio is the sensitive one. The DMZ between my music and hubby's music is still pretty volatile.
Small steps.
