The Day Has Arrived...
Well, "it's" finally here, the day I find out whether or not my first IVF cycle actually worked. I have been fine up until yesterday when I almost bought a HPT. Luckily they were behind a locked counter and I just didn't feel like having to ask. Problem resolved. My anxious feelings heightened late last night so I pretty much spent the last 12 hours tossing and turning. I know that whatever will be will be but it doesn't keep you from going every minute thing in your mind. Should I have done this differently? What about forgetting to take the ibuprofen 4 hours after the ET? Should I have eaten better? Why wasn't I able to get my stress under better control? The questions are endless and I don't even have my results yet. I'm still trying to think positive but I also want to be prepared to handle whatever the results, whatever they may be. I was originally thinking that it was a great idea to have numerous conference calls with clients scheduled for today; this way I don't have to see anyone face to face but I am still very busy to keep my mind of the impending phone. Now, I'm just not so sure. I spoke with DH this morning but this didn't make me feel any better. He just keeps telling me he is worried about me getting the results. Okay....hello, I need him to think positive at all times. I don't know how the ladies on DS do this time and time again. The physicial and emotional rollcoaster that goes along with IVF. If it doesn't work this time it very well may have been our one and only such for a number of reasons. I'll be heading to see my RE in about 45 minutes. Even though I won't get the results until later this afternoon, please send all the prayers and luck that you can spare...
