The Date
The date went fine. It got changed to a dinner date but that was ok. It was still early enough. We met at a restaurant down town. I told him I wanted to meet him there, but we didnt say where so I was at the bar waiting for him and he was in the dining room waiting for me. After a half hour I decided to leave, I figured I was stood up. As I was heading to the door, there he was sitting at a table. That broke the ice, we had something to laugh about.I had a good time but he is wanting to take things way too fast. He said he knew I was the one for him the first time he heard my laugh 6mths ago. And that he was too shy to ask me on a date.Let me tell you if I wasnt a cautious woman, I would have fallen for all his smooth talk. I was good though, I didnt even let him kiss me good night. It was a first date after all. He wanted to but I only allowed a peck on the cheek.I told him we could go out again, but I'm not sure what to do. The things he was saying made me nervous. I know when I met Bruce I was the same way. I almost didnt give him a chance either. I'm very cautious. I dont like dating. And with this guy, I wasnt out looking. I was content with my boring life, (kind of) . I just hope he's ok about taking things slow. But the things he was saying I dont think so. If its up to him I'll be meeting his parents tomorrow. The waitress wasnt much help either. He told her we were on our first date and she was trying to make him less nervous so she was giving him ideas and was trying to get us to share a desert. Like chocolate covered strawberries. And telling him to have a drink to calm his nerves.I wasnt into any romantic stuff. She must have loved that I was wearing a wedding ring. lol
