The Color Red
I don't like the color red anymore. I used to like it okay, but now every time I see it a kind of freak out, thinking about the blood that oozes out over my arm every time I cut. And I think I've started to cut deeper, just a little bit, but I'm bleeding more than before.
The cutting still helps my anxiety and self-doubt in a horribly twisted way. It makes me feel better for a while, before the guilt sets in.
And then I freak out over having to eat tomatoes or wearing a red shirt.

People are triggered by many different things. Personally I have to avoid the shaving aisle in the store, I always give into temptation, and just seeing the packaging is enough to drive me over the edge.
If the color red is triggering, then by all means do your best to avoid it.
