The blanket at the foot of the bed
I was making up our bed today and I realized that the only reason that we have the blanket at the foot of the bed was so that Cookie could lay on the bed. My Husband was never a fan of her being on the bed. And of course, she had to be on the bed. They fought like cats and dogs but she always won...LOL! I specifically bought that blanket so that Cookie's hair wouldn't be all over the bed. She knew to just lay on her blanket at the foot of the bed. She was content just being on the bed. The blanket is still at the foot of the bed. I just noticed today...sigh

Lady always slept on the bed with me, too! It took me several weeks to wash the sheets as I felt they held a part of her. For me, it was a baby quilt that she\'d snuggle up on. I still haven\'t washed that, it\'s in the corner with the cushion she used to hop off the bed with. I\'m sure there will be plenty of reminders as you move through the house. Use them to hold onto the love you had for each other.

i also have clays little blanket which i havent washed,its in a box which i take down from time to time and smell,the memories and tears come fast when i smell it,its like a stab in the heart.i was finding alot of things as the weeks went on....squeaky toys,brushes,spare lead,poo bags.its so hard when you come across something,it knocks you down and brings the tears and gets your mind thinking again when your trying not to think.its like you want to think and remember but its so hard and upsetting to do it,hugs to you xx
