The biting continues
my daughter wont stop biting...!!!!! i dont know what to do with her, some say it is a phase she will get over, but i just cringe when i think of taking her places. she bit some little girl at my sisters baby shower, the girl needed ice, and i think she bled. she bit some random kid at a garage sale. she bit my friends little baby. she also pinches and goes for the eyes. HELP! i tried biting her back, she thinks its funny, i tried over exaggerating how much it hurt, she thinks its funny and wants to do it again. i tried putting her in time out, that works the best... but she screams and then throws herself down for about 15 minutes, and i wont take her out of time out when she is still crying and screaming cause i dont want to teach her thats how you get what you want. i explain to her that it is not good to bite, that biting hurts.
too many little kids walking around with teeth marks. she acts like she is going to kiss or hug them... then BITES. she is sneaky about it. ugh...
somedays she is SOOO good and my little angel hunny face. but then.. i dont know what to do about her biting. Also, she is due for her shots... she has bumps and bruises EVERYWHERE. she runs and runs and falls and runs and falls. normal toddler stuff. but she is under my ex's medical... and he didnt list me as her mother, so if i take her to the naval hospital, i wont have access to her records, i can take her, just not pull any info if i need to or have her shot card updated.
and im scared that they will mark that she has all these bruises and say i am abusing her. then he will try to take her just to get at me. even if he see's her with her knees bruised up, he will say something cause he doesnt understand how toddlers are. all toddlers get bruised up. ugh... poor baby.

I will ask my friend about the biting. She went thru that with her baby and the kid almost got thrown out of daycare!!!! I will see what finally worked with her.
yah im worried about it... cause i want to join the gym who has daycare, and i dont think they would let her be in there the way she is.
I\'m not being sarcastic when I say this, but my nephew was a biter, too. One day my brother in-law (not his father) about had enough, so he grabbed his arm and bit him back. Not hard enough to break skin, but hard enough that he felt it. He stopped biting after that. True story.
