The Birthday Party

Well, my mom's birthday party was about what was expected! She was in a great mood and having a good day (she has Parkinson's and it's always good when she has a good day), and missed the battle of her sisters! Two of her five sisters came by to celebrate....the oldest and the youngest. The oldest and one of her daughters were there when I arrived, and everyone seemed to be having an enjoyable time-conversing, visiting, and extending birthday greetings. A few hours later, the youngest sister made her dramatic appearance. My parents were both out of the room, and she decided that this was the opportune time to start a feud with the oldest one. The 'next generation', including myself, were across the room, starting to clean up. When we heard the feud begin, the other two cleaning up decided to ignore them. Since it was my parents' house, I ended up being the 'parent' for the aunts! Have ya ever put a 77-year-old and a 63-year-old in time-out? I can now say that I have! What else do ya do when the 'youngster' picks on her sister? And from the phone calls that I have had the last couple of days, I'm thinking about taking their phone priviledges, too! lol!
