At sunset, board a dinner cruise boat and watch lights come on all over the city as you sail beneath the magnificent series of bridges that span the Chao Phraya River. Though it’s been a long, exciting day, things are just beginning to hop in Bangkok.

Of the rooms, six have stunning views onto Wat Arun across the river while the remaining three look out towards Wat Po. The Bangkok Publishing Residence started as a row of 1960s shophouses and has been lovingly restored into an intimate, classy hotel that gives larger luxury properties in Bangkok a run for their money. It's a 10-minute walk to Khao San Road and a 15-minute taxi ride to the royal palace.

Even if you don’t plan to hold onto it forever, if you do plenty of research and buy in up-and-coming areas, you’re bound to make a profit when you sell up. Other than the obvious consequences outlined above; there is more to it. With added use of the condo facilities and the reckless nature of passersby, there will likely be a negative impact on the shared facilities. While I am in no way saying this is to blame for the decline in our condo, but I do think it has added to it.
