The begining of June
Tomorrow is June 1st. My lease on this apartment will be up in August and I have to give 60 days notice if I am intending on moving. These dates have really been on my mind because it doesn't seem like it will be a year since I moved out. I have my place and he has his and we see each other all of the time because our daughter and her little boy live at the house and I babysit two nights a week while she works. We have been talking a lot during the last year but nothing is different. He is still all about his wants and needs. I can't stop dreaming about my home and all of the things I could do to it and the yard and how much time I could spend with my grandson. He says I can move back in and some days it is so tempting but I know in my heart that I can't go back. I hate that things have turned out the way that they have. I don't think its fair that I don't have the relationship that I want, that I don't have my house, that I have to pay all of my own bills and can't spend my money where and when I want to. Does that sound selfish? I just know that he doesn't meet any of my needs. He says he is working on himself but I don't see any changes. I have changed though. For so many years I thought that there was something wrong with me. I couldn't understand why I wasn't happy, why life wasn't enough. It's because I was the one giving everything and he was the one taking it all. He never gave any of it back. So as long as he doesn't recognize that he has never put me first, I guess I will stay put. Moving back to the house would be awesome but moving back to the relationship? I like to think I'm worth more than the cost of rent.
