The Beat Goes On....

Ron escaped the strangle hold of cortisteroids on October 5th.  Some things have returned to near normal, some things are in the process of returning.  The drumroll of the last CT of his chest and abdomen revealed a blood clot in his lung, which resulted in an ultra sound of his legs, which revealed a blood clot in his lower leg and a kidney stone just outside his remaining kidney.  The lung leisions remain much the same and any treatment is on hold pending resolution of the kidney stone.  The shots of "heperin" (actually generic) in the stomach started immediately upon notification of the blood clot in his lung.  Even with insurance, our cost for the shots is approximatly $60 per day.  We cannot go on "cumidin" until a decision is made and accomplished as to how to treat the kidney stone.  No choice in whether or not to do the shots as we all know how fortunate we were to discover the blood clot in the lungs through a routine CT exam and not sudden death.  My oh my... And the beat goes on......
