The battle of the bulge
Was browsing the Diets and Weight Maintenance Support Group and came across a topic by Joe, a 43 year old man, who said:
"It is painful to eat less. It's work! I don't have the motivation to do it."
What does he want people to say?
Of course it's work and painful. If he can't summon the motivation, he's going to remain where he is in life. Noticed he's also a gambling addict.
This is what I wrote for a response. It was to the point without being insulting.
They don't call it "the BATTLE of the bulge" for nothing! It truly is a battle to deny ourselves day by day for the sake of a future goal.
You've got to make up your mind which is MORE important to you: the temporary pleasure of eating or the permanent pleasure of looking and feeling better in the future.
