The bad and the good!
My AA sponser has always said that there is something good that comes out of every bad situation. Thursday was a perfect example. I woke up from a horrible nightmare. Later I figured out that God was trying to get my attention. First thing I did was check my water. Turned it on full blast and it was coming out in a slow stream.....Pipe was partially froze! I left it on and prayed, Please God, my space heater is broken. Make it work! A few seconds later it started to come out full blast. Had I not turned it on when I did, I probably would have had some busted pipes to deal with.
Another thing that happened was my internet had been down since the night before. I had labels to print and couldn't do it. I called customer service and got a guy in India who spoke with such a heavy accent I had trouble understanding. He said the Hughesnet satellite was broken and they had engineers working on it. It should be fixed in 2 hours. 2 hours came and went. The following day, still no internet. I called again, same thing happened, was put on hold for a half hour and then got an indian guy. He ran some diagnostic tests and still nothing. He said, I will have to send a repairman at a cost of $125. I said you're going to charge me for something that's wrong on ur end? He said well I can't do anything to help you because the account is not in ur name. I said the account holder is 1500 miles away and I pay the monthly bill plus I need the internet now! So he was very apologetic but said that was the best he could do.
I shopped around for another provider and now I have Verizon. I am very happy with it and plus it is cheaper! Had I not had this problem with Hughesnet, I never would have acquired a better, cheaper provider!
There were a couple of other things that happened as well but I can't remember them off the top of my head but things like these happen to me all the time. I believe it's just God letting me know He is in control of my life and not to worry!
My sponser was right all the time. I am thankful.

update, I did 2 miles in the windy 10 degree weather....brrrrrrrrrrr!

Did you go for the run or at least a walk?
I always go through the doors that open for me. I can always go back if the new door wasn\'t a good one.
Technical support from India is horrible. I have a broadband card from Verizon. I hope your cell service is Verizon too. I get to talk to my daughters and baby Zoe for free.
I hope you did get out for your run. The cold fresh air will be good for you.

So glad you are having good luck - I learned the same thing from a friend years ago, and it makes me aware that in the worst situation, something good will eventually come of it - and sure enough!!!
It is very cold in MD - we even had some snow! Stay healthy and upbeat - you are on a roll!

God works in mysterous ways doesn\'t he? You are probably blessed more than you know. Glad the pipes didn\'t burst, that would have been very expensive, and what a problem! I too use verizon, and have for a couple of years. We are very pleased with it. Never have any technical problems. I hope you find the same.
