The Axe...?

am not doing at all well in this new job...turns out to be less order-taking and more "order-troubleshooting," which we literally "shot" through in class...keep freezing up w/the live customers & can't remember where to go to on the computer tabs to get the info I need...too many possible info. "holes" to find stuff & I'm on the clock...no one call should be over 7.5 min., start to finish...but, I keep having to put people on hold and ask someone what to do... Only plus is that I have decent phone manners...Mom always insisted on that...think that's the only reason I'm still at this post...God, I'm not going to fail again, am I? Back to ferreting and studying my notes...for whatever the hell that's worth...God help me...

Sorry your having problems. Just tell your self I can do this, and stay calm. Maybe you should make your self cheat notes on the different locations to find things. Keep them close by so If something comes up you can look at your notes for the answers. I reall think You should put more confidence in your abilities. I mean phone manners really are a plus. Nothing soothes a troubleshooting phone call than a soothing, calm voice at the end of the other line. Just take your time, let the person you are dealing with know you are new and you are addressing the issue. I have been in customer service for way too many years, and I know you can do it. It just takes confidence and getting used to.When I first started out, I would make new cheat notes every nite, go to work the next day and have new issues, but I always noted them. When I got home that nite I would update my cheat list again. You have to write your notes down as your way of thinking, and reading and it will come easier. Believe me I have trained alot of people. Hang in there, and just tell your self I can do this. Like Bob the builder says \"Can we do this?\" \"YES WE CAN!!!! That was a mantra I used at work all the time for my staff. So you go girlfriend!!!!!!! Hugs Deb
