The Art and Challenge of Practice Makes Progress

Though I am spiritual rather than religious, I'd like to begin with Matthew 7:24-27, a section Matthew writes as being spoken by Jesus about practice: Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
FirstI certainly don't mean my words; '' I mean the words you hear and feel in your heart, the words which talk to you and your spirit, the words spoken directly from Source to youpersonally. Secondly, I am not calling anyone foolish; though, each one of us has our flip in educating foolishness at one time or another. Third, as Twenty One Pictures opened with, knowing something isn't the same as practicing it; and practice does make advancement. It creates the solid rock foundation of self-trust and trust in origin, even or especially when we feel ourselves briefly in the valley rather than about the mountaintop.
How can you train or learn to practice what will enhance you or your daily adventure of life? You begin by deciding what it is you wish to practice, state,"Pick inner peace." You likely don't have to wait long to have an adventure where this choice would be a fantastic practice, and you forget, maybe for a day, week, month or longer, as emotions run strong. As soon as you're calmer, you recall you did make that selection. You believe on this, possibly admonish yourself for forgetting, which I don't recommend. I like a gentle reminder like,"Okay, I forgot to remember this time; but eventually I shall remember my choice." Perhaps you forget a couple more times until a day, when triggered, you do remember and say to yourself,"New app: Pick inner peace." You work out the best way to do this and put it in practice. Please keep in mind that practice doesn't mean"perfect" It means training.
Each time, it becomes simpler to select it, that is, to practice your decision, to engage your new app, even if after through presents challenges which ask for different or more inner function, insight, and imagination on your part. As you practice, you feel your evolution and personal power, in addition to your connection with your self and Source move up a notch. Plus it feels great. It seems right. You find you pay attention for other chances to practice your choice, or other opportunities to earn similar valuable choices. The new clinic, and the evolution it causes in you, begins to feel more natural, more comfortable than simply not evolving or practicing, despite obstacles.
