the animal system is a racket//
eventually living things get tired of wandering & looking for shelter & food//the system is a racket
eventually living things get
".....tired of wandering, looking for shelter and food. Needs a rest and warmth from that frigid winter or too hot summer, we have every year.
Two reasons why strays get killed for nothing
One is the busybodies that play god and pick at anyone who is trying to help the animals, or who see a stray animal and bring them to the pound contractor.
The facility is always full to the rafters so if the animal is not deemed adoptable but need care it is immediately killed upon arrival.
Those busybodies should understand that by bringing the animal to the pound they bring it to its death.
So if they cannot care for it themselves, better leave it be - to be helped by a real animal lover.
If people realllly cared, they would spend $12 and purchase a 16 pound bag of cat food each month or each week and start feeding the strays they see near their home. They can carry the food with them in a large ziploc plastic baggy. Light and easy. IF THEY REALLY CARED, but they don't. Imagine the difference if every single person out there put out fresh water every day (water is FREE) and a plate of food - there wouldn't be any starving animals then. Do your part. Don't just TALK about it.
Second, the system of animal pounds in some countries was created to clear the streets of strays, this began in the '70's.
Psychopaths saw profit in this. They are making a lot of money with the system, most of them do not care that a rescue person wants to pull an animal from their facility to save it.
Those that do let rescues take animals for a small fee, do so secretively because there are soooo many out there who want to kill the animal or make trouble for it. Most humans seem committed to killing their cousin animals. Humans forget that HUMANS ARE animals. Its disgusting. The next thing humans will do, is have factory farming of humans. Watch the movie "The Island". Its your future.
The contractors/pounds are control freaks and use all kind of false regulations and fees to discourage anybody from rescuing their own pets from there (they can't afford to!) and often the fees for adopting (buying) animals there make it impossible to adopt from there as well.
If you inquire about a certain animal, they will ask proof that it is yours, etc. Then a few days later someone will call you back to say the animal is no longer there ....(killed upon arrival).
That is exactly what happened to that poor soul we tried so desperately to rescue from the pound to give it a chance to happiness and a few good years of warmth.
For the last 40 years I denounced the system, but it works forother parties: the contractors because they make a LOT of money from municipalities and never render account on what they do with the animals taken in and the elected officials never ask any questions since their streets are free of strays.
Stray cats and other crittersare just collateral damage to them, its become a racket (which should be covered under racketeering statutes, is it?)

This is all the truth, 38! I am proud to say that my husband, daughter and son-in-law are all animal lovers. We feed strays! We believe that living creatures, such as US should care about other living creatures! If they have no home and a bowl of water and a bag of pet food will save them from starving, we\'re going to provide it.
We can\'t stop the evil, profit driven people who seek nothing but monetary benefit from the killing of innocent animals. But I, personally, believe that there\'s a special place in Hell for people who mistreat animals and defenseless children. That\'s what I believe.
More people should post articles like this one, 38. I don\'t believe that people would allow the useless slaughter of animals if they knew that it was all about money! And it is! Makes me sick! xo
if all slaughter houses and factory farms had glass walls a LOT of people would cease eating meat. its DISGUSTING. even people who work in dairy farms, end up refusing all dairy because they know how badly cows are treated, raped, abused, DISGUSTING.
people who live off of other living things, children or animals or abuse or kill any defenseless beings should be executed. an eye for an eye.
