THE 10 BEST Shopping Centres in Taitung City

Disembark from the boat this afternoon and proceed to Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in Taiwan. 台東特產店 Stroll around the monastery on a walking tour and learn more about Buddhism as you explore this sacred place. Taste a Buddhist vegetarian lunch , chat with some of the monks and discover the towering Buddha Statue in the Main Shrine. Later, travel by coach to Kaohsiung – the second largest city in the country and visit the Love River and a local Night Market.
There are often different musical events or street art performances here. I also recommend you to go to hot spring in early morning and you can look sunrise when you enjoy in hot spring . Kembel is passionate about tea, spending time with his kids, and all things travel.
Thanks to the large number of aboriginal groups in the area there are several different aboriginal restaurants in and around the city. Taitung is also home to a fair number of goat meat restaurants along Jhongjheng Rd. Located on the northern edge of Taiwan, just a quick trip from Taipei, Yangmingshan National Park offers a dose of nature for city-dwellers and those touring the bustling capital.
The trail gets more brutal when it gets closer to the bottom. Did not see food places within the park so bring food/drinks... The water there is considered to be one of the best in Taiwan.

Some of the trees were starting changing colors to a bit dark red/yellow-ish when we visited in middle October . Cutest shops and photo ops - grab your food and art souvenirs here and some bites to eat while you are at it. I really think Sanxiantai is one of the best attractions on the east coast, the view was just amazing, but remember to bring sun protection with you as it is very sunny. We did a cycling trip from Hualien to Taitung where we spend the last 1,5 day biking along the east coast. We have more than 15 years of experience in offering gifts across all events in Taiwan.
One of the most popular modes of transportation here is the bicycle. It's a great way to explore the city, as there are well-maintained bike lanes and paths that will take you through some of the most scenic parts of the city. You can rent a bike from one of the rental shops or even from your hotel. It's a convenient way to navigate narrow streets and cut through traffic. You'll see plenty of locals riding scooters, but be sure to wear a helmet and obey traffic rules if you're planning to rent one. The Dulan Sugar Factory (新東糖廠文化園區) is now a converted Cafe and Art Gallery. It’s a great place for some artsy Instagram photos and for buying some handmade souvenirs by local artists. They also have events once in a while, including live music by local artists.
When an earthquake hits, transportation on the highway might get disrupted. One of the best places in the area to fill up on delicious, no-frills grub is the Yuan Chang Guanshan Lunchbox shop 50 meters in front of Guanshan Railway Station on the left. Much like the compact meals sold around the railway stations in Fulong in New Taipei City and Fenqihu in Chiayi County, Guanshan’s boxed lunches are known island-wide.
