That one moment
I am currently in school and in a few short weeks I will be accredited to be a Medical Assistant. On Thursday i will go for a interview for my internship and I hope I get this internship since I don't have any experience in the field I really need this. I have been doing very well, even when my classmates all have medical experience, I have keep up, and after practicing in Paco the dummy, I draw blood on my first try. I feel a whole new world have open before me and I'm learning fast...it's really fascinating.
We have postponed the wedding until December-the school where Al taught music informed him that they are closing the music program; which is very sad, this kids were playing in a band and they were doing so well, but the new principal believes that academics are more important. So like that Al was out of a job. It took several months but he did found another position, this time a high school were they need to start a Jazz program. Between that and the fact that his mom end up in the hospital after a fall and is still there due to health problems, we decided to move the wedding to December. We are good, he still the same great human being that I fell in love with.
I talk to my daughter daily and after going for a 2nd interview, she has been told that after doing a drug test she should start working on Aug 5th. I am happy for her, she really needed to be working. She told me an interesting story, that maybe reflect on my past relationship-and I haven't think about my ex in the longest. Here it goes:
"So dad picks me up to get my contact lenses and once I'm in the car he tells me we will also go to Walmart to pick up a table for a tv. So there I am mom, Dad and his new wife are arguing in front of people in Walmart. Dad gets even more upset, like always, and he is now screaming at his new wife. And I just looked at them and it hit me: Dad is never going to change, he did this thing to you Mom and he will always be this way. So I just walked away and pretended not to know them, took a taxi home and left them there. Dad will never change. Helen-new wife-called me to asked me why I left, I told her the same thing: cause Dad will never change. She doesn't get it, maybe one day she will.
I have to admit that for some odd reason this make me happy-not what he was doing-but that my daughter realized what kind of person he is. And then quickly I felt bad for her. I hugged her, she hugged me back and right there in that one moment I realized her face has changed....is it possible? I looked again and yes this is true....my daughter has become a woman. And my heart is happy and sad at the same time. When did this happened? Yesterday she was playing with lipstick and walking on my high heels with bright eyes....I have pictures to prove it!!

It is so good to hear how you are doing. The future looks bright for all three of you. You have a good man in your life and your daughter is grown. They grow so fast. My little granddaughter was a carry around baby and now she is running everywhere and has grown so fast.
A December wedding will be lovely. My daughter\'s wedding was in late December.
Hi trisha!! Your granddaughter sounds cute. Am sorry about Old Z...I know he had a special place in your heart.
And yes I think a December wedding will be lovely,
Big hug to you
