That just isn't fair
Hi
I had a pretty decent last week I managed to set some goals and stick to them, I managed to exercise (at least half hour of strenuous aerobic exercise per day) and practice techniques for relaxation, such as deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation and I'm still not smoking which is good.
During the weekend I gave myself a day off from the exercise as I wanted to do some cooking and spend time with my partner on the Sunday. - All good.
Yesterday (Mon) I didn't feel like doing anything too strenuous although I went for a brisk walk but I didn't sweat it out too much. Later in the evening I started to notice my anxiety creeping back, for no apparent reason and in the end I went to sleep as per usual.
I've noticed in the past few weeks that I keep waking up during the night, I tend to sleep for a couple of hours and wake-up and then repeat the same pattern, I wonder if its a common thing with anxiety sufferers, or is it just me?
This morning I've woken to find myself very anxious and shaky, its taken about 4 hours to get to a reasonably calm state, although I've managed to do some household chores. I've also had to force some toast down, because I'm thinking that perhaps my blood sugar is low (I'm thinking it could be the reason for my anxiety, even though it probably isn't?) I was tempted to call my partner at her work just for a chat but have refrained from doing so as I don't want her to worry.
I think that I'll go out for a walk, and do some exercise today and see how things go, I'm sure the exercise helps - Its just a bummer when you get this rebound anxiety.
