That House...
My uncle called me yesterday on the way home from the gym. That house I wanted to buy a couple months ago is accross the road from my uncle, and he has been keeping an eye on the place. He said he got some info about it. Turns out it went to auction and was sold for $3200 before I even went and looked at the house. Sounds like my realtor was shady.
The guy who purchased it is a house flipper, and plans to have it back on the market later this year. That gives me hope that maybe I will get my house still. Then again asking price could go up drastically.
I will keep saving money, keep my eyes and ears open. And the eyes and ears I have open for me.

Saving $ Good. Hope you get your house.
Sounds like you really wanted that home. It wouldn't hurt to talk to the buyer, if you can find his name, and ask him if he would sell it without having to do any work to it. Many times they will agree so they can make a quick buck and move on to another foreclosure. That way you would get a much better deal.
Don't be afraid. Good luck!
house flippers will jack price due to their investing in it and profit motives of doing it.....so the good deal is now gone....sorry to tell you that....hugs
Houses in this area are not worth much. If he paid $3200 for it then he may still sell it in my price range range, which is $65000. And my uncle got his info from the buyer and the newspaper. There wasn't much work to be done to the house. It just needed ductwork redone and central air. Drywall and new flooring. Replace an interior door. It wasn't bad.
Bill was right. House is back on the market for double the offer I made back in March. SMH. Now some yuppy from the city will buy it for a getaway home, or some drug dealer. No family from here can afford it. Where are we supposed to live? Down by the river in a tent?
