Thar be Updates...
Well, I don't have much to report on, but thought I'd do a journal to let you ladies know I'm still here.
Metformin: I've been taking it for 9 days and so far so good. I've only had two moments of the shakes because I waited too long between meals, or didn't eat enough at breakfast.
My Dad: is still continuing to get better, but is pushing himself too much with the oxygen thing. Apparently he's not listening to the various doctors and nurses who tell him no more than an hour at a time off the oxygen for now. He went nearly 4 hours without it the one day. Oy. Stubborn Old Man! (He's only 64 as of this Saturday, but we like to tease him about being an old man)
School: is going well. I have two days of classes left this week and then I start a two week placement at a local (and small) museum. I'm really nervous about doing the placement, and my anxiety is easy to trigger at the moment due to the nerves. Monday was a very anxious day for me. I called the lady who will be supervising me at placement and she hung up on me twice! When I got a hold of her the third time, she apologized and said she wasn't able to hear anything when she hung up. What still strikes me as odd is that she didn't wait the same amount of time between hangups, and both times she hung up happened to be right as I finished introducing myself. It freaked me out and of course sent me into a tailspin about being screwed for my placement until I was able to get a hold of her.
Weight: I'm still hovering around the 290lb mark, though lately it's seeming to stay just below that. I will be going to the bariatric clinic for an orientation session on April 9th, so hopefully I'll get lots of great information from the dietician and help from the rest of the team they have.
That's all I can think of to put in this update. None of it is IF related, since nothing much is really going on in that department other than doing the whole metformin and weight loss as a way to 'improve' that situation and my health

I can\'t believe I missed this! So glad you updated. That\'s great that your dad is getting better and you\'ve started metformin. Hopefully the supervisor was just in a weird mood and the placement will go great. Good luck at your orientation hun!!
Thanks! I\'m sure it was nothing and my anxiety/nerves over starting placement were just getting to me, but we\'ll see how things go!
Good to hear from you! Sounds like things are headed in a good direction for you and I am glad to hear your dad is on the up and up....even if he is a bit stubborn ;)
