Thansgiving on Sunday?
Today is Thanksgiving for my Mom's Mom. We are going to bring her home for the first time since she moved to the Nursing home last year. We couldn't do this on Thursday because of the weather. She has alzheimers and we can't aggitate her these days without disasterous results for all of us. Today there is sun and some warmth in the air, so I am praying it is a good day for her. I love her so but wonder why God won't let her come home now. She has been pining for it since my Popo went home over 9 years ago. She really is progressing quickly in her disease now that Mom died. They finally gave it it's proper name instead of calling it dimentia like they insisted on for almost a year. She has halucinations and is terrified so much of the time and it is so real to her. This is so horrible to have to bear. I can't understand the plan. I just have to have faith that it is something she has to go through to get home.
My daughter and I are having a particularly sad time of it these days and my son feels more depressed now that the holidays are here. We need a little Christmas, but I have no desire to decorate or anything. I hate being in Mom's house. I resent that she is not here and I cannot bear to go through her things yet. She died 4/30, but was gone 4/29. I just cannot do it yet. It's like if I don't weed her out of here in the most basic sense of purging the crap that doesn't need to be here, she's still coming back. I am so sick of sad. I don't know how else to say it. I want to run and I want to not stop until I can't run more. I want to start fresh wherever that is. That is not my reality though.
Heading to Thanksgiving now.
