Thanksgiving on my Son Seth's 24th Birthday

We (Seth and I) didn't choose this journey, but we grew very close together because of his brain cancer, from the diagnosis to his transition.  The blessings of this challenge don't appear to be so, but are real and lasting far beyond the disease.  I feel him constantly and though I miss him tremendously, I know he is with me.  I have become far more spiritual having lived through this experience.  I was there when Seth took his last breathe, and watched him transition to that wonderful place in heaven.  I know that our heaven and earth is just a dimension of difference, and one that we cannot see but certainly can feel.  As a mother, I often wonder if this is part of the gift that we are bestowed, the opportunity to feel this thin and vulnerable veil between the physical earth and Home in heaven. Today, I have much to be  thankful for.  It is Seth's 24th birthday and I am beyond words for how wonderful he is for the time that he spent with us.  Have a great Thanksgiving with your family.  I will cry, but only because I selfishly miss him, not because I fear his demise.

Yes, absolutely! Your dear son Seth is in a far better place than here amidst earthly struggles. He is happy and free from all pain. He has essentially \"won the lottery.\" Who would not want their child to win THE most generous giveaway of all, right?! We miss them but we realize it is far \"better\" for them to be with God, than with us and we await reunion! Love, Donna

I love this and am so inspired and feel the strength, the truth, of your words deeply in my spirit. Yes, I too cry for what has been lost during my human experience....but I KNOW the reality of Kala IS and for that I am most thankful and grateful beyond words.

A glorious and wonderful celebration is going on in Paradise for Seth and I know my Kala is a part of the magic and the love. I am thankful for Seth and I am thankful for Kala....and I am thankful that their moms have found each other to comfort and be comforted by each other as we continue our own human experiences.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANDSOME! You are loved and missed so very much!

It is so hard to look for any blessings or gifts amid this pain, however it is so lovely to read about your close connection with your son during his final years and days. My son was taken suddenly without any warning and how I yearn to have a final conversation with him and tell him how much I love him. Happy Birthday Seth x

Yes, you did not choose this journey yet are taking it and sharing some very healing thoughts... \"The thin and vulnerable veil...\" What a beautiful way of looking at that and I feel the same way. Our sons are so very close by and the fear of passing through that veil is gone for me after Doug took his last breath.

Your mother/son bond is palpable and what courage to companion your super hero of a son, Seth, as he did all that he could to remain on his earthly path.

Hoping you feel supported and held during these days of awareness, remembering and healing.

Loving care and gratitude for your words as they helped heal me this morning.
