Thanksgiving has arrived

okay so my auntie decided that the 6 hour trip (3 ea. way) to her house for thanksgiving was too much for too little time since we'd only be there the day of. so she sent thanksgiving to us! weird, but hey that's my family. it came in today's post. a kabillion pounds of food! i can't even tell what half of it is. what i've identified so far from the never ending box that has me ROFLMAO:  jerk turkey and pan gravydumplingsescovitchcocoa breadplantainboiled green banana (blah, but my sister likes them)curried goat (my favourite!!!)stamp n' gobakalaostew peas n' ricesorrell (we'll have to steep it ourselves)ackee, callaloo n' salt codbread pudding (my 2nd favourite) AND THERE'S STILL MORE (hell if i know what it is though, i can't tell through the zip-loc bags)!!! i'm sure there's porridge in there--blech, i hate porridge almost as much as my auntie hates banana fritters, but i can/will deal. obviously she's been cooking for days. it's so funny because it's so her (can we say overcompensating), but at the same time, i'm sooooo looking forward to thanksgiving now. tastes from home...YUM!!! now all i need to do is make carrot milk and get some cheese for the (ahem--my [because i am so not sharing with my sister]) cocoa bread and i'll be happy.  maybe i'll make patties but i doubt it, that's too much work....pffft. mine are never as good as my mother's anyway. i'ma go change my mood icon now because how can i be anything but fantabulous when eating the word FEAST has a whole new meaning! unfortunately, this means i have to call my auntie to let her know her humongous box full of food and dry ice (who the hell has money to pack things with dry ice???) got here *sigh* i may have to put in earplugs first since she has the most shrill voice in the whole universe. i think for once though it might be worth it.  i reckon i'll enjoy the buzz of being ecstatic for a little while at least. makes a nice break from depression.
