In ye (your) name of God Amen· We whose names are vnderwriten (underwritten), the loyall (loyal) subjects of our dread soueraigne (dovereign) Lord King James by ye (your) grace of God, of great Britaine (Britian), franc, (France)& Ireland king, defender of ye (your) faith, & c (etc.) Haueing (Having) vndertaken (undertaken), for ye (your) glorie (glory) of God, and aduancemente (advancement) of ye (your) christian ^faith and honour (honor) of our king & countrie (country), a voyage to plant ye (your) first colonie (colony) in ye (your) Northerne (Northern) parts of Virginia· doe (do) by these presents solemnly & mutualy in ye (your) presence of God, and one of another, couenant (covenant), & combine our selues (ourselves) togeather (together) into a ciuill (civil) body politick (polotic); for ye (you) our better ordering, & preseruation & furtherance of ye (your) ends aforesaid; and by vertue (virtue) hearof, to enacte (enact), constitute, and frame shuch (such) just & equall (equal) lawes (laws), ordinances, Acts, constitutions, & offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meete (meet or needed)& conuenient (convenient)for ye (your) generall (general) good of ye (your) colonie (colony): vnto (unto) which we promise all due submission and obedience. Honestly, do you not think this is a Christian based God willed act, our founding and existence as the USA? I assure you, it is. It was prophesied in the Old Testament to Abraham, in GENESIS 22: 17 I will indeed bless you, and I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be as countless as the stars in the sky or the grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the strongholds of their enemies. There are other verses as well.
I miss greatly the America of my youth. Growing up, we were free as children to roam from sun up until sun down. The neighbors all watched out for each other. My grandma only need make 4 calls to locate me. We were unified in our town and in our country. That's back in the day when prayer was still in schools as were the Ten Commandments. Oh, and let us not forget our teacher's wooden paddle with the knowing if you broke the rule, you grabbed the desk in front of the class and would also get it again when you got home for surely a call would be made. We were taught to respect our elders. Adults were adults and children minded what they were told. Oh, how I ache for my children to have had that type of America to grow up in!
Who's to blame? Each of us. We have set back expecting the government to do this or that instead of taking our God given responsibility up and being heads of our households. We let filth come into our children's ears by way of TV, radio, who they play with, the video games they play, etc. and then wonder why they behave as they do. When do you remember a family sitting on Sunday together in the house of God truly trying to do right? I grew up to a great degree (age 10 yrs) that way but not all my life. I knew there was a God and I knew Grandpa had a small keen apple switch to "tickle" our legs should we get out of line and daddy had a belt. Was I beaten. Of course not. Was I DISCIPLENED you bet! I walked the chalk. It was instilled in me very young the sense of right and wrong. However, morality is not Christian relationship with God. If you do accept Christ as your Savior, yes, your morals will change to match His. You become like those you hang with. Even God's word tells us this. That's why my parents were very well aware of who I played with, where I was, what I was doing, and daddy's favorite line, "You never know what bush I'm hiding behind watching." That, added to the neighbors ever ready to call, I was watched like someone in the Witness Protection Program.
So, why all this about the Mayflower Compact, God, and God's promise to Abraham? Because, today we have a danger that is more real than terrorism in this county....the statement & belief by some that we are not a Christian nation. WE ARE! If you will only look at the Mayflower Compact 1620, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights & Constitution, they are ALL BASED UPON GOD'S MOST HOLY WORD & PRINCIPLES!
I am asking each you to take up the fight that has been lost . Let us again stand as a nation, UNDER GOD, listening to Him, following Him and bring back into existence the world our children should have to grow up in. One person makes a difference and as we all band together, we PGGMers can change the world for the better! Government was never meant to be in our churches but our Lord Savior was always meant to be in Government. Benjamin Franklin knew this well.
