Thanksgiving
I have been too tired to write lately however, I dragged this one up from a past Thanksgiving many years ago.
Thanksgiving in the USA is right around the corner but Canada has already had theres.
Thanksgiving Prayer
Dear Lord, We thank you for the miracle of life,
For the capacity to love,
For great and simple joys,
For wonder, dreams and hope,
For laughter and song,
For compassion waiting within to be kindled,
For the forbearance of friends and the smile of a stranger,
For the wisdom of the old,
For the courage of the young,
For the strength that comes when needed,
For the capacity to love,
For great and simple joys,
For wonder, dreams and hope,
For laughter and song,
For compassion waiting within to be kindled,
For the forbearance of friends and the smile of a stranger,

For the best friend who wakes up with me every morning and when she looks at me with her big, brown eyes, then I know it's gonna be a great day!

A peer member here on DS suggested I keep a daily gratitude journal a few years ago, so I've done that ever since. This Thanksgiving prayer's going in it today, Bob. Thanks for it.
I just got invited to spend Thanksgiving with a family this year, bobinmaine! Since I'm estranged from my own violent family, which is why I'm at DS in the first place with my PTSD diagnosis, I live alone and don't have family for holiday celebrations. So this is a big blessing. I'm really excited about Thanksgiving now this year! :-)
