Thanks for the good thoughts

I came home and found my house intact minus a couple of shingles.  My next door neighbors had much more damage.  My fence needs to be replaced asap.  But I have debris you wouldn't believe in my backyard.  Mostly from the neighbors.

I went to the fence, tripped over a patio stone and fell.  Couldn't get up.  A neighbor couple across the big street saw me on the ground and came over.  She helped me up and he picked up the tattered fence and nailed it up.  Temporary fix so I can get my dogs back tomorrow.

Every insect in the backyard got me while I was on the ground and mosquitoes love me anyway.  I'm going to take a shower if I can get up, then take some benadryl and then go to bed.  I can do this because I HAVE ELECTRICITY.  How did I get so lucky?  I'm shocked that I have power and the people i was staying with don't.

I'm counting my blessings, believe me.

In west Orange County a big lake overflowed and people had to be rescued by boat.  The problem was the alligators were washed up with the lake water. I haven't watched the news to see the casualties.

My friends on here got me through.  I'm grateful.

I'm so glad to hear you got through it safely. However, that's a bugger of a thing that you fell on the debris. Be careful. Don't do any heavy clean-up without help. Much love.

Oh thank goodness you're okay! (from the fall more than the hurricane!) Don't you do too much, okay? You've got power, just enjoy the blessings, indeed.

Yoohoo. So happy to hear that you made it through Irma and your house is still standing and you even have the power. Who sings that song? ....."I Should Be So Lucky so Lucky." Never mind.....it's some old one.... like me. So all good my friend. Did you have to go and fall over though and get eaten by mozzies after surviving the hurricane.lol! I'm wicked having a chuckle. Hope you will be ok. Didn't like hearing about the Alligators. We have crocodiles here. They are sneaky freaky big buggers. Excuse the English please.
I was following all the news reports etc on YouTube and kept hoping you were alright and not alone.
I'm not looking forward to our cyclone season this summer. They usually seem to hit around March, but can be as early as January. Rest up and breathe easy and yes count your blessings for sure. Sending love from the land down under.xoxo
