Thanks For All Replies

I really don't know what to say to the replies.  You see, it is I think accourdingly how far you are in your process with dealing with what your going through.  Now for losing my son, I haven't even begin to go anywhere close to dealing with that.  And so much has happened in my life it would take forever to write if I did.
But first I would like to say, I do not take any kind of medicine to help me deal with my son's death because I  feel once I went off the pills then I would still have to deal with everything so I see no reason to take pills.  Also, I am not able to take anti-depressant pills as they disagree with my body.
Second, there has been so much more that has happened these past week or so that is going to have to be dealt with.  It is a personal issue that I can not share.
So there are a lot of issue going on other than dealing with my son's death which truthfully I feel is the most devastating thing one can go through. I know going through divorce is not easy been there know how it can bring you so down and alone.  And really didn't think anything could be worse, but losing Kenny my son is the worst thing in the world to me, although there are things that I have to deal with with my family that are also very difficult.
I do appreciate everyone taking time to read my journal and all the caring that each of you give me.  This site and the people on here are a real blessing and I know with out all of you, I would not be doing as well as I am without all of you so that I do thank each one of you.
I guess all we all can do is just keep on helping and being there for each other.  My hand are very full right now, but knowing that I have all the friends I have on here helps me get through.  Maybe someday I don't sound that way, but I am hanging in there.  When you already going through something difficult and it just keeps piling on sometimes it gets to all of us.  But again thank you all for your responses.
Sandi

THERE ARE NO PILLS THAT CAN TAKE AWAY THE PAIN OF LOOSING YOUR CHILD. BUT SOMETHIMES THRU SUCH A DIFFICULT PERIOD IN IN YOUR LIFE MEDICATION CAN HELP YOU. YOU ARE EXHAUSTED FROM CRYING AND IT CAN EFFECT YOU PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY AND PUT ON TOP OF THAT FAMILY ISSUES. SOMTHING TO HELP YOU SLEEP AND RECOUP YOUR ENERGY TO FACE ALL THE TERMOIL GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE IS HELPFUL SO YOU DON,T END OF SICK. TAKING AND ANTIDEPRESANT OR ANXITY MEDICATION FOR AWHILE TO HELP GET THRU THE VERY HARD TIME, DOES,NT MEAN YOUR MAKING ANY THING IT IS JUST HELPING YOU SLEEP TO KEEP GOING. IF YOU CAN GET THRU ALL THIS TURMOIL IN YOUR LIFE ON YOUR WHO GOOD. BUT I HAVE SEVER ANXIETY GAD, PANIC, PTS, SO I NEED HELP I DON,T FEEL ANY ONE SHOULD FEEL ASHAMBED TAKING MEDICATION TO HELP YOU FUNTION AND BE ABLE TO GO ON WITH YOUR LIFE AS NORMAL AS POSSIBLE. Sandi, I want you to know that through all my tradgedies I have also decided not to take anything. I had people telling me I needed to take anti-depressants after my husband died and go to therapy. I came here as my therapy and it has helped me a great deal. I\'m not saying that no one should take anything. There are times when they are necessary. I am proud that I am able to cope with life on my own, with my faith. It\'s not easy alot of times and I cry myself to sleep sometimes but I am getting through it. I feel there\'s nothing much worse than losing a child. I keep really busy and that helps alot. I didn\'t think about my son\'s death for almost a year after he died. I chose to put it in the back of my mind and not think about it. It does surface. I don\'t think it\'s something that I will ever completely come to terms with (any of us) but I try to let my faith in God get me through it and the wonderful people here. I know there\'s more to this life than I can see and I\'m trying to learn to get through the days as best I can and let my faith guide me. I hope that I can help others along my path at least just a little! I\'m finding that helping others helps me. Sorry for the rambling - lol. Debbie

I just want you to know you are not alone and you vent, share , cry and yell with us whenever you need to. I too felt the same way about medication, not needing it , just trying to take a day at a time, a moment to moment thing. We are all different and handle grief in so many different ways. Hugs to you and rest my friend. xoxo Wendy

Hi,
I am a believer in less is better when it comes to medicine and all the medical stuff but I must confess I ended up on an anti depressent for one year for the grief was to much. I do not think it took any of the pain away it just gave me the opportunity to deal with it in a better frame of mind. After a year I felt I was ready to deal with it on my own again and at first I was a bit more teary but it leveled itself out. You need to do what fits you best and all avenues for help are ok. Hugs, Inga

I agree with Inga - I am on anti depressant. It does not take the pain and grief away, just makes it a little more bearable, makes me able to function. My doctor and I have a plan to wean me off at the end of summer.
