Thankful for support from those on this site.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Well, this is one year I really do have something to be thankful for. I am the biggest skeptic you'll ever meet. Once I got those radiation burns I thought they'd never go away. But they are all healed, thank God and prayers from people I've met, and not met, on this site. I have learned hints from some of you. Thanks. I have a couple hints to pass on. If a doctor or nurse suggests you use peroxide washes, do not use cotton balls, as I did at first. Use the Cotton Rounds found in the cosmetic section of stores. The rounds work way better than the balls. And I'm sure they'd cost less than gauze pads. Also when I had Telfa pads under the breast, then a hankie to help cushion the chest wall, I used some of that brown stick to itself tape to hold everything in place. Surgeon said he liked that system. Of course, after a couple uses the tape needs to be pinned to keep it in place. Believe me that was much more comfortable than half a puppy pad taped around the Telfa pad and hankie. :-)) Quieter, too. So, I say thanks to all for the prayers and good wishes. I got through the rough times to reach the good at the other end of the tunnel. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Good bless you all,Bertha
